Magnus Carlsen Vs. Kasparov

Magnus Carlsen was only 13 years old here.

Prince of Chess directed and produced by Øyvind Von Doren Asbjørnsen. See the whole film here: . This was at the Reykjavic Rapid 2004 tournament where some of the world’s best players competed.

A rapid game between the past and future world champion? 2 of the worlds greatest players indeed. I wonder what would happen if they were to play now.

Interesting that sometime after this, Kasparov started coaching Carlsen for a while.

  4. For some reason Kids are better than adults at Video games and I guess that applies to Chess in some way. It's as if the child's mind is more creative. Counter Strike is the best example. It's been around since 1999 so you'd think someone who's played for 20 years would be the best but the best player for the past decade has been s1mple and he was like 16 when he took the reign. Soon another youngster will take his spot if they haven't already. Even in Counter Strike they'll use the words "past his prime" as if it's basketball.

  5. Kasparov could have won with his time advantage but the risk of losing was maybe to high 😅
